How to Fertilize Geraniums in Early Spring to Encourage Bud Formation: I’d Like to Share an Organic Fertilizer with You

Geraniums are a staple in many homes thanks to their low-maintenance nature and lush, colorful flowers, even during the coldest months.

How and When Should Geraniums Be Fertilized?

My mood improves significantly when I see indoor geraniums in bloom. Today I would like to share an excellent fertilizer recipe that was recommended to me by a florist friend with many years of experience in agronomy. He gave me a lot of valuable advice, which I am now happy to pass on.

The period when geraniums begin to bloom actively indoors usually occurs in late winter or early spring, when sunlight starts reaching our windows more frequently. This is the ideal time for fertilizing, as it stimulates the plant to form buds.

Few people know that geraniums respond very well to certain types of yeast, which, when used correctly, can act as a real catalyst for growth and flowering. Yeast fertilizer works according to the principles of bokashi fermentation, activating beneficial microorganisms in the soil and improving soil fertility. This helps strengthen the root system and stimulates bud formation.
