Homemade Vanilla Sugar: A Sweet Secret You’ll Love

🍴 Instructions

Method 1: Traditional Vanilla Sugar (with real beans)
  1. Split the Vanilla Beans:
Using a sharp knife, split each vanilla bean lengthwise to expose the tiny black seeds inside.
  2. Scrape & Mix:
Scrape out the seeds and mix them into the sugar using a fork or clean fingers to evenly distribute them.
  3. Add the Pods:
Cut the used pods into smaller pieces and bury them in the sugar for extra infusion.
  4. Seal & Store:
Place the mixture into an airtight glass jar or container. Let it sit for at least 1–2 weeks before use, shaking occasionally.
Method 2: Quick Vanilla Sugar (Blended)

Want instant vanilla sugar? Try this:

  1. Cut one vanilla bean into pieces.
  2. Blend it with the sugar in a food processor or high-speed blender until the bean is finely ground.
  3. Store in an airtight jar. It’s ready immediately, but the flavor improves over time.

⚠️ Note: This method results in a stronger flavor and darker specks in your sugar — great for bold desserts.
