Sausage Cheese Balls

This easy recipe combines breakfast sausage and cheddar cheese for a very flavorful appetizer (think: parties, holidays, and the super bowl!). But, dipped in maple syrup alongside pancakes, you’ve got an AMAZING breakfast side too! The classic ingredients create a flavor that everyone loves.

Ingredients:

  • Ground pork sausage
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Eggs

In a medium to large mixing bowl, combine the sausage, eggs, and cheese. This can be done with a stand mixer, but just like traditional meatballs or meatloaf, it’s easiest to mix by hand. I prefer a block of sharp cheddar cheese that I shred myself. When you grate the cheese yourself, the cheese melts more smoothly. However, pre-shredded cheese works too. Any kind of cheese you love works, including pepper jack cheese for extra spice.
