Instructions
- Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). -
Prepare the mixture
In a large bowl, combine:- Pork and beans
- Ketchup
- BBQ sauce
- Brown sugar
- Mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Liquid smoke (if using)
- Garlic powder
- Pepper
Mix everything well until fully combined.
- Transfer to baking dish
Pour the mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly. - Add the bacon
Lay the bacon slices across the top of the beans (you can leave them whole or cut them in half). - Bake
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until:- The sauce is bubbling
- The bacon is cooked and slightly crispy
- Optional crisping
If you want crispier bacon, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end (watch carefully so it doesn’t burn).
Serve
Let it cool slightly before serving. Great as a side dish for BBQ, grilled meats, or potlucks.
