My Polish grandma made this every Sunday. I hadn’t eaten it in 20 years… until now. I cried with the first bite.

Ingredients:

  • 5–6 medium potatoes, cut into large chunks

  • 450 g sauerkraut

  • 750 g Polish sausage, cut into large pieces

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tsp caraway seeds

  • 1 bay leaf

  • Salt and pepper to taste
