My Polish grandma made this every Sunday. I hadn’t eaten it in 20 years… until now. I cried with the first bite.

Instructions:

  1. Place the sauerkraut in the crockpot.

  2. Layer the potatoes over the sauerkraut, then top with the sausage.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the broth, caraway seeds, and bay leaf.

  4. Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.

  6. Stir well before serving.
