Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) or 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture gradually, mixing just until combined.
- Warm the milk slightly and stir in the melted butter and vanilla.
- Slowly add the milk mixture to the batter, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
