Milk Cake

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) or 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture gradually, mixing just until combined.
  6. Warm the milk slightly and stir in the melted butter and vanilla.
  7. Slowly add the milk mixture to the batter, mixing until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
