Instead of Shashlik, I Make “Canadian-Style” Ribs for the Holiday Table – They’re So Delicious, Words Can’t Describe It!

I have a great pork ribs recipe that I found from a famous chef in Montreal. It’s so flavorful and aromatic that I even included it in my holiday menu. I recommend making a double batch right away – it’s absolutely perfect!

Here’s how I make it:

Sauce:

Take a bowl and mix:

  • 100 grams of applesauce (even baby food works!)

  • 100 grams of ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

  • 3–4 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • Juice of half a lemon

Spices:

Then add:

  • ½ teaspoon dried garlic

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Cinnamon gives the dish a festive aroma and a unique flavor, but if you’re not a fan, you can skip it.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
