Instructions
1. Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil.
2. Add Cinnamon: If using a cinnamon stick, add it to the boiling water. If using ground cinnamon, add it to a tea infuser or directly to the water to avoid grittiness.
3. Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows the cinnamon to infuse the water with its flavor and beneficial properties.
4. Strain (if using ground cinnamon): If you’ve used ground cinnamon directly, strain the tea into a mug to remove the sediment. If you used a stick, simply remove it from the saucepan.
5. Add Honey and Lemon: Stir in 1 tablespoon of raw honey and 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice while the tea is still warm to ensure the honey dissolves completely.
6. Taste and Adjust: Feel free to adjust the sweetness and acidity by adding more honey or lemon based on your preference.
7. Serve Warm: Enjoy your cozy mug of cinnamon sore throat tea while it’s warm, preferably wrapped in a soft blanket.
