  1. Drain peas thoroughly and gently pat dry if needed (prevents watery salad).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

  3. Add peas, cheese, onion, and bacon. Fold gently to avoid mashing peas.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning.
