Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a non-stick skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
Stir in the cheddar soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar until combined and melted.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and add the remaining cheese on top.
Prepare the biscuit topping by mixing the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix with shredded cheese and milk; pour evenly over the beef layer.
Bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes until golden brown on top. Brush melted butter mixed with seasoning over biscuits before serving.
