German Sour Cream Apple Cake

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 150 g butter

  • 100 g sugar

  • 300 g flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

For the topping (custard layer):

  • 35 g sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 250 g schmand (or substitute with sour cream or crème fraîche if unavailable)

For the filling:

  • 3 apples
