For the Creamy Vanilla Layers (White):
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar), plus extra for dollops (about 1 cup)
For the Rich Chocolate Pudding Layers (Dark):
2 (3.9-ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups cold whole milk
For the Topping & Garnish:
Reserved 1 cup of whipped topping (for dollops)
Reserved ¼ cup chopped pecans
1 square semi-sweet chocolate, for shaving
