“You’ve Never Tasted Pastries This Good — The Dough Is Like a Cloud” Homemade Filled Crescent Rolls — One of My Favorite Recipes!

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Activate the yeast:
In a bowl, pour the milk and add sugar and dry yeast. Stir to combine.

  2. Mix the wet ingredients:
Add 1 egg and vegetable oil. Mix again.

  3. Add the dry ingredients:
Sift in the flour and add the salt. Knead the dough.

  4. Knead and rest:
Add a little more oil if needed and knead until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Let rise for 40 minutes.

  5. Shape the dough:
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape into balls.

  6. Butter and stack:
Roll each ball into a flat round disc. Spread each disc with softened butter, then stack them on top of each other. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes.

  7. Roll and cut:
After chilling, roll out the stacked discs into one large sheet. Cut into 16 triangles.

  8. Fill and shape:
Place a little jam at the wide end of each triangle and roll them up into crescent shapes.

  9. Bake:
Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with a beaten egg.
Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 10 minutes, or until golden.

☕ Enjoy your treat and happy baking!
