Step 1: Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 3: Add Egg and Flavorings

Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined.

Step 4: Add the Flour

Gradually add the flour, mixing on low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.

Step 5: Shape the Cookies

Scoop or pipe dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers are just set.

Step 7: Cool

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
