This Plate Will Make You Happy: Schnitzel with Bell Pepper Sauce and Fries 

Instructions

 

 

1. Prepare the fries
Cut fresh fries or bake/fry frozen ones according to package instructions until golden and crispy.

2. Bread and fry the schnitzel
Lightly pound the schnitzels and season with salt and pepper.
First, dredge in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry in hot oil or clarified butter until golden brown on both sides.

3. Make the bell pepper sauce
In the same pan, use a little fat to sauté the onions until translucent.
Add the bell pepper strips and sauté briefly.
Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze with broth.
Season with paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
Let simmer for a few minutes until the peppers are soft.
(Optional) Stir in cream or sour cream for a creamier consistency.

4. Serve
Place the schnitzels on plates, pour the bell pepper sauce over them, and serve with the crispy fries.
