Preparation:
First, wash the meat, pat it dry, gently tenderize, then season with salt and pepper. Lightly coat the steaks in flour and sear them in hot oil on both sides.
Place the seared meat into a baking dish along with a few bay leaves.
Don’t discard the oil from the pan! Use it to sauté the chopped garlic and onion. Once they’ve browned, sprinkle some flour over the surface of the pan. Stir well and pour in the bouillon dissolved in water.
(If you have homemade broth, feel free to use that instead!)
Briefly bring the mixture to a boil, then season with salt and pepper. Pour this sauce over the meat in the baking dish.
Place in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F), cover with foil, and bake for about 45 minutes. Occasionally drizzle with white wine. Shortly before the end of cooking, remove the foil and bake uncovered until crispy.
Enjoy!
