Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour (1 cup = 200 ml)

  • 1.5 cups water

  • 2 tablespoons dry yeast

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in water (warm for faster rise, cold for overnight proofing).

  2. Add flour and salt, and mix with a spoon — no kneading by hand required.

  3. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise — for 1 hour in the morning, or overnight in the fridge.

  4. To fry, oil your hands, stretch the dough into flat rounds, and fry in hot oil until golden.
