How to Make It

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion 5 minutes until soft, then add garlic for 1 minute.

Add chopped cabbage, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in vegetable broth, vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir well.

Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 20–25 minutes until cabbage is very tender.

Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Tips

Add a splash more broth when reheating leftovers

Great as a side or served over rice or potatoes

Adjust vinegar and sugar to balance the tang to your taste
