Start by thoroughly washing the zucchini and trimming off the ends.

Cut them into small cubes and cook them in a non-stick pan with extra-virgin olive oil and a whole clove of garlic.

Add a pinch of salt and let them cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.

While the zucchini cool, soak the stale bread in the milk.

Squeeze out the excess milk from the bread and add it to the zucchini in a bowl.

Add the grated cheese and mix well.

Shape the mixture into patties using a burger mold or a glass.

Coat the patties in breadcrumbs and cook them over medium heat in a lightly oiled pan.
