Super Juicy Onion Meatloaf — So flavorful, tender, and aromatic that I absolutely have to serve it twice a month! Try it once, and you’ll be hooked forever.

Preparation:

  1. Peel and finely slice the onions, then sauté them in butter until translucent. Set aside and let cool.

  2. Soak the bread rolls in water, then squeeze out the excess (or use breadcrumbs).

  3. Mix the ground beef with the onions, soaked bread, eggs, mustard, and seasonings. Knead well until combined.

  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a buttered baking dish.

  5. Bake in the oven at 180°C (356°F) with fan (convection) for about 60 minutes. If desired, baste with some broth during the last 15 minutes for extra juiciness.

Serving tips:

  • Perfect with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and red cabbage.

  • Or go classic with spaetzle and creamy sauce.

  • Delicious leftover the next day — spread it cold or warm on bread!

A family favorite: hearty, tasty, and super easy to prepare!
