Super Delicious – Everyone Loved It: Jägertopf – A Dish Everyone Simply Loves

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat:
    Cut the schnitzel meat into bite-sized pieces and season well with the Maggi seasoning mix. Sear the meat in a pan until golden brown on all sides.

  2. Prepare the Vegetables:
    Cut the leeks into rings, the onions into large chunks, and the smoked bacon into thin strips. Briefly sauté everything together with the mushrooms in a large pan until the vegetables start to soften.

  3. Add Cheese & Cream:
    Add the processed cheese to the pan and stir until melted. Pour in the cream and mix everything well.

  4. Prepare the Sauce:
    Prepare the hunter-style gravy according to the package instructions and add it to the pan. Stir until everything is well combined.

  5. Combine & Bake:
    Add the seared meat to the mixture and transfer everything into a large pot or roasting pan. Let it braise in the preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes, until all the flavors have melded together.
