Stuffed Pork Rolls with Pickles and Cheese, Baked in Sauce

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the meat

Slice the pork into thin pieces and pound them well with a meat mallet.

2️⃣ Season
Add salt, pepper, and a little paprika.

3️⃣ Filling
Place on the edge of each piece of meat:

  • a strip of pickle
  • some grated cheese

4️⃣ Roll them up
Tightly roll the meat into small rolls. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

5️⃣ Sear
Heat oil in a pan and fry the rolls on all sides until golden brown (about 4–5 minutes).

6️⃣ Make the sauce
In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion.
Add flour and mix.
Pour in the cream and broth, then add garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until slightly thickened.

7️⃣ Bake
Transfer the rolls to a baking dish and pour the sauce over them.
Bake for 25–30 minutes at 180°C (350°F).

8️⃣ Serve
Sprinkle with herbs. Delicious with:

  • mashed potatoes
  • buckwheat
  • pasta

Tip: For extra juiciness, sprinkle a bit more grated cheese on top before baking.
