Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli: Easy Dinner of Fresh Flavors

Instructions:

1. Prepare the beef

Slice the beef into thin strips (against the grain for tenderness).

2. Make the sauce

In a bowl, mix:

  • Beef broth
  • Soy sauce
  • Brown sugar
  • Garlic
  • Sesame oil

3. Add to slow cooker

  • Place the sliced beef into the slow cooker
  • Pour the sauce over the beef
  • Stir to coat evenly

4. Cook

  • Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until beef is tender

5. Thicken the sauce

  • Mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry
  • Stir it into the slow cooker
  • Let cook another 20–30 minutes until sauce thickens

6. Add broccoli

  • Add broccoli florets
  • Cook for another 20–30 minutes until tender but still bright green

7. Serve

  • Serve hot over white rice
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add a little ginger or chili flakes
  • Don’t overcook broccoli—it should stay slightly crisp
  • You can swap beef for chicken if you want a lighter version
