Instructions:
Preheat Oven
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Meat Mixture
– In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, green bell pepper, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
Layer the Meatloaf
– Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan.
– Layer half of the provolone cheese, mushrooms, green onions, and roasted red peppers over the meat mixture.
– Top with the remaining meat mixture and press to seal the edges.
Bake
– Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
Add the Final Cheese Layer
– Remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the remaining provolone cheese over the top.
– Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Rest & Serve
– Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with vegetables or mashed potatoes for a delicious, hearty meal!
