  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to firm up.

Step 2: Prepare the Brownie Dough

  1. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
  2. Whisk the melted butter with sugar until glossy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until thick and smooth.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.

Step 3: Assemble the Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Scoop 1 tablespoon of peanut butter dough and 1 tablespoon of brownie dough.
