Preparation:

First, heat about a finger’s width of oil in a frying pan.

Then mix the flour with milk, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and the egg yolk. Beat the egg white until stiff and gently fold it into the mixture.

Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar with cinnamon and set aside.

Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into strips. Dip each strip individually into the batter and fry in hot oil until golden.

Drain the apple strips on kitchen paper, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and divide between two plates.

Add one scoop of ice cream next to the apples on each plate, garnish with whipped cream, and serve immediately.
