No Need for Cake! “De Luxe” Pie – My Goodness, It’s Delicious. I’ve Been Making It 3 Days in a Row!

Instructions

Batter:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, sugar, and vanilla sugar.

  2. Add the oil and milk, mix well.

  3. Sift in the flour and baking powder, and mix until smooth.

  4. Grease a 26 cm (10-inch) baking pan with butter and pour the batter into the pan.

Cream Filling:

  1. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, beat the egg and add sugar, vanilla sugar, and starch. Mix well.

  2. Add milk and stir until smooth.

  3. Place over heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

  4. Spoon the cream evenly over the batter in the pan.

Crumble Topping:

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and butter.

  2. Rub the mixture with your hands into a crumbly texture.

  3. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the top of the pie.

Bake:

  • Preheat the oven to 170–180°C (340–355°F).

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden brown.

🍰 Finishing Touch:

Dust the finished pie with powdered sugar and enjoy with a cup of tea!
