“No Need for BBQ – My Sister from the U.S. Taught Me This! Delicious Dinner, Quick & Easy”

👩‍🍳 Preparation:

  1. Prepare the chicken:

    • Remove the skin from the chicken thighs and debone them.

    • Cut the meat into small pieces and place in a large bowl.

    • Add 1 tsp salt, 1.5 tsp grill seasoning, ⅓ tsp black pepper, 2 tsp cornstarch, and 20 ml vegetable oil.

    • Mix everything well with a spoon.

    • Let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare the potatoes:

    • Peel and slice the potatoes.

    • Place in a bowl and season with salt, potato seasoning, ⅓ tsp black pepper, and a sprinkle of dried dill.

    • Mix well.

  3. Bake the potatoes:

    • Spread the seasoned potatoes on the bottom of a baking tray.

    • Drizzle with vegetable oil.

    • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes.

  4. Marinate the onions:

    • Slice the onions into half rings.

    • Place in a bowl, sprinkle with black pepper, and pour over 6% vinegar.

    • Let sit for 30 minutes.

  5. Cook the chicken:

    • Heat a skillet with oil on high heat.

    • Fry the marinated chicken pieces for 5 minutes on one side.

    • Flip and fry for another 5 minutes.

    • Flip again and cook on low heat until done.

  6. Assemble the dish:

    • Add the cooked chicken on top of the roasted potatoes in the baking dish.

    • Layer the marinated onions on top.

    • Sprinkle with grated cheese.

  7. Final bake:

    • Return to the oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
