My mom’s grandmother used to make these

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Slowly pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  5. Pour into loaf pan: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake: Place pan in preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
  7. Add cinnamon sugar topping: While bread is baking, mix cinnamon sugar topping in a small bowl. Once bread is out of the oven and still warm, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over the entire loaf.
  8. Cool and serve: Allow bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
