Mounds Brownies

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Brownies

Mix and Bake Brownies: Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Follow the box instructions for baking times and temperatures.

 

Step 2: Prepare the Coconut Topping

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

 

Step 3: Top the Brownies

Spread Coconut Mixture: As soon as you take the brownies out of the oven, spread the coconut mixture evenly over the hot brownies. This will help the coconut topping adhere to the brownies.

Step 4: Prepare the Chocolate Frosting

Microwave Frosting: Remove the lid and foil from the container of chocolate frosting. Microwave the frosting for about 15-20 seconds, or just long enough to make it pourable. Stir well to ensure it is smooth.

Step 5: Frost the Brownies

Pour Frosting: Pour the melted frosting over the coconut-topped brownies. Use a spatula to spread the frosting evenly, ensuring that it seals the edges and covers the coconut mixture completely.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

Cool: Allow the brownies to cool completely so that the frosting can set. You can speed up the cooling process by placing the pan in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Serve: Once cooled and set, cut the brownies into squares and serve.
