Mom Taught Me This – No Need for Cake! Costs Pennies and Tastes 5 Times Better Than Regular Pies

Preparation Steps:

  1. The milk should be warm, and all other ingredients should be at room temperature.

  2. For the sweet topping, rub the butter with sugar and flour until crumbly, then place in the fridge.

  3. Mix the warm milk with sour cream, salt, sugar, and yeast. Stir well.

  4. Add the egg and vegetable oil, and mix again.

  5. Sift the flour and gradually add it to the mixture.

Tip: You may need a bit more or less flour—adjust as needed. Don’t overdo it, or the dough will be too heavy.

  1. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.

  2. For the filling, mix cottage cheese, raisins, and egg. Add sugar to taste.

  3. Divide the dough into portions. Roll each one into a small circle, brush with melted butter, place the filling in the center, and fold into triangles.

  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the triangles on it. Cover and let rest for another 20 minutes.

  5. Brush with melted butter or beaten egg yolk, then sprinkle with the crumb topping from the fridge.

  6. Bake at 180°C (355°F) until golden brown.
