MOIST BUTTER CAKE RECIPE

PREPARATION FOR BAKING:

  • Use an 8x8x3 inch baking pan.

  • Preheat the oven for 15–20 minutes before baking.

  • Grease the sides of the pan with butter.

  • Line the bottom of the pan with baking paper.

  • Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 170°C with top and bottom heat.

TIPS:

  • The batter should fall smoothly when lifted.

  • If it’s too thick, you can add more fresh milk.

  • The butter and sugar must be fully creamed until really fluffy — this step is crucial.

  • If you’re using all-purpose flour, mix in 1 teaspoon of baking powder and sift 3 times before using.
