McGriddle Muffins

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and maple syrup until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat and cook breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through.
  5. Pour a small amount of the muffin batter onto the skillet and place a cooked sausage patty on top.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top of the sausage and cover with more muffin batter.
  7. Cook the McGriddle muffins until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
