I love whipping a tray of these Christmas bars up! Everyone was thrilled by the outcome!

Instructions:

  1. Prep Oven & Pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream Butter & Sugar: Mix butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs & Extracts: Add eggs one by one, then vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Mix in Flour: Gradually add flour to the mix.
  5. Base Layer: Spread 3 cups of dough in the pan.
  6. Cherry Layer: Spread cherry pie filling over the dough.
  7. Dough Topping: Drop the rest of the dough in small spoonfuls over the cherry filling.
  8. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, till golden.
  9. Cool: Let the bars cool completely.
  10. Make Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, extracts, and milk until smooth.
  11. Glaze Bars: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars.
  12. Slice & Serve: Cut into slices and enjoy!
