I Bake This Twice a Week – It’s That Good! Ultra Juicy Apple Cake

Preparation

1. First, knead together the margarine or butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder, and flour to make a dough.
Now cut the apples into large chunks (e.g. into eighths depending on the size) and fold them into the dough.
Pour everything into a greased springform pan and smooth it out slightly (easier said than done!).

2. Bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) on the bottom rack for about 1 hour.
After about 45 minutes, brush generously with butter and sprinkle with sugar or a mix of cinnamon and sugar.
(If the cake browns too early, simply cover it with baking paper for the rest of the baking time.)

3. This cake is fantastic, super juicy, and goes perfectly with whipped cream.
It may seem like there’s too much apple compared to the amount of dough — but don’t worry!
The dough finds its way between the apple pieces and really just serves as a base to hold everything together.
