Preparation:
-
Pour the vanilla pudding powder mixture into boiling milk and stir until it thickens slightly.
Then add sugar to taste and let the pudding cool completely. -
Once the pudding is cool, briefly mix with a hand mixer, then add 200 g softened butter.
Mix until a smooth cream forms and set aside to cool again. -
Meanwhile, prepare the dough:
In a saucepan, bring the water and butter to a boil. Add the flour and stir until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pot. Let it cool slightly. -
Mix in the baking powder, then add the eggs one at a time, beating at high speed for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
-
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F), top and bottom heat.
-
Divide the dough into two equal parts.
Spread the first half thinly and evenly on a baking tray and bake for about 20 minutes until golden.
Repeat with the second half. Let both layers cool completely. -
Spread the cream over the bottom cake layer, then place the second layer on top.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Enjoy! This cake is light, creamy, and perfect for guests or just a weekday treat.
