Huge Pot of Homemade Chili

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Meat: Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven or pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Add chopped bell peppers, onions, and jalapenos to the pot. Cook over low heat until softened and fragrant.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, and cilantro.
  4. Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until flavors have melded. Stir occasionally. Add water if the chili becomes too thick.
  5. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with desired toppings (such as cheese, sour cream, and chopped onions).
