Homemade Fruit Cake

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.

  2. In one bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, beat the melted butter and brown sugar until creamy.

  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the orange juice and vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, beating until well combined.

  6. Fold in the chopped dried fruits and walnuts gently.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. Let it cool before removing from the pan.
    Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with icing.
