Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Baking Dish
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: Combine Ingredients
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash brown potatoes, diced ham, cream of potato soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
- Pour Mixture: Pour the hash brown mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
Step 4: Bake the Casserole
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Step 5: Serve
- Cool Slightly: Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
