Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, toss together your BBQ spice blend for your chicken legs until combined. Set aside.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to 400˚ F with oil.
- Optional – Split your chicken legs using a paring knife down the center to open the drumsticks to create an even grilling surface.
- Add your chicken legs to a bowl and drizzle with avocado oil. Season with your spice blend and toss.
- Cook your chicken legs on the preheated grill for 3 – 5 minutes per side until golden, then remove to the upper rack of your grill or to a preheated 400˚F for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Remove chicken legs from the oven and finish with your favorite BBQ sauce.
