Grandma’s Southern Sweet Potato Cobbler

INSTRUCTIONS

Set your oven to preheat at 350°F (175°C), then lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Peel and cook the sweet potatoes by boiling or roasting, then mash them until creamy.
In a mixing bowl, blend mashed sweet potatoes with both sugars, milk, butter, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
Roll the prepared pie crust and line the base of the baking dish. Pour in sweet potato filling and spread it evenly.
Optional: Add a second crust, slicing into strips and laying them on top in a lattice design.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the filling is firm and the crust reaches a golden brown.
Allow to cool for 15 minutes before enjoying warm, served with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
