Preparation:
- 
First, mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it, and then add the margarine, egg yolks, and powdered sugar. 
 Knead everything into a smooth dough.

Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half on a floured surface to fit a baking tray (about 30 x 40 cm) and create a slight edge around the sides. 
- 
Prepare the apple filling (see step 6), then spread it evenly over the dough. 
- 
Roll out the second half of the dough and place it over the filling. Brush lightly with milk and prick with a fork. 
- 
Bake at 190°C (374°F) for about 25–30 minutes, or until golden. 
- 
To prepare the filling: Coarsely grate the apples, let them sit briefly, then drain the juice. Season with sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon to taste. 
- 
After baking, dust with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Let cool slightly, cut into squares, and serve.
