Grandma’s Apple Sheet Cake Is So Delicious! 🍎

Preparation:

  1. First, mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it, and then add the margarine, egg yolks, and powdered sugar.
    Knead everything into a smooth dough.

  2. Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half on a floured surface to fit a baking tray (about 30 x 40 cm) and create a slight edge around the sides.

  3. Prepare the apple filling (see step 6), then spread it evenly over the dough.

  4. Roll out the second half of the dough and place it over the filling. Brush lightly with milk and prick with a fork.

  5. Bake at 190°C (374°F) for about 25–30 minutes, or until golden.

  6. To prepare the filling: Coarsely grate the apples, let them sit briefly, then drain the juice. Season with sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon to taste.

  7. After baking, dust with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Let cool slightly, cut into squares, and serve.
