Fried (Stewed) Grated Potato Dumplings with Cottage Cheese

Instructions:

  1. First, peel the raw potatoes.

  2. Grate them using the coarse side of a grater.

  3. Mix the cottage cheese with the eggs, starch, and spices (salt and pepper).

  4. Combine the cottage cheese mixture with the grated potatoes.

  5. Shape the mixture into dumplings of your desired size and fry them in a pan with a little oil until lightly browned.

  6. Then place them into a pot, add a bit of water, sour cream, additional seasoning if desired, and simmer for about 15–20 minutes.

  7. Optionally, you can serve them with your favorite sauce – bacon bits or similar are great. You can also add more sour cream – you can’t have too much sauce with this dish!

  8. Serve and enjoy these delicious potato dumplings!
