Directions
In a small saucepan, whisk milk and flour together until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens like pudding.
Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the cooled flour mixture a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla.
Continue beating until the frosting is silky, fluffy, and smooth.
Use on cakes, cupcakes, or cookies.
