Chocolate Mascarpone Cake – Creamy, chocolatey, and heavenly delicious!

This chocolate mascarpone cake is a dream come true for all chocolate lovers! A moist chocolate sponge filled with airy mascarpone-whipped cream makes it the highlight of any coffee table. Ingredients:

For the chocolate sponge:

  • 4 eggs (medium size)

  • 150 g sugar

  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

  • 100 ml neutral oil

  • 100 ml milk

  • 180 g flour

  • 50 g cocoa powder

  • 1 packet baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

For the mascarpone cream:

  • 250 g mascarpone

  • 400 ml heavy cream

  • 2 packets whipped cream stabilizer (e.g. Dr. Oetker Sahnesteif)

  • 80–100 g powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla sugar

For decoration:

  • approx. 50 g dark chocolate shavings
