Make the caramelized banana:
Cook sugar and water until it becomes caramel and turns golden brown. Add the sliced bananas and stir until evenly coated. Set aside. -
Make the pudding sauce (setup):
Mix all setup ingredients together in a pot. Cook while stirring until it boils and thickens. -
Assemble:
In a container, layer the white bread pieces. Pour the warm setup sauce over the bread. Add the caramelized bananas on top and finish with grated cheese. -
Serve:
Can be enjoyed immediately while warm or stored in the fridge for a chilled version.
