Butter Toffee Pretzels

Directions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Toffee Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the brown sugar, honey, salt, and vanilla extract. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Coat the Pretzels: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mini pretzels with the toffee mixture. Stir gently until all the pretzels are evenly coated. If using, fold in the chopped pecans or walnuts.
Spread and Bake: Pour the coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even coating.
Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the pretzels cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, break apart any clusters and serve as a delightful snack or gift.
