Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Gradually stir in the flour mixture until well combined, then fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
