Banana Bread Cookies

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
  • Stir in sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Step 4: Form the Dough

  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture.
  • Add nuts and chocolate chips if using, mixing gently to distribute.

Step 5: Shape & Bake

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
